Welcome to Feast and Fable!

I’m Mackenzie, a photographer, writer and stylist based in Nashville, TN, as well as the creator of this here food and lifestyle blog. When I’m not busy foraging for props, developing recipes and telling stories, you can usually find me balancing on unstable objects with my camera and a pair of tweezers. 

Nothing makes me feel more alive than preparing beautiful meals to be shared with others and capturing them in their truest light. Put simply, I see food as art, as an endless source of inspiration and nourishment. It’s not rare to find me crying over rainbow radishes, freshly picked strawberries or a beautifully geometric lemon. And it’s this connection to the earth and the world around me that fuels my love affair with food photography and recipe creation. 

My hope is that the recipes, photographs and stories shared on this blog inspire and empower you to form your own positive connection with food, to find beauty in the mundane and to experience the kind of joy that only comes after a home cooked meal shared with friends and family.
